Will a dvd+r dl work with modded xbox

well i need to know if a dvd+r dl will work with my softmodded xbox..i want to burn halo 2 to a disk and add some maps to it but the original dvd+r are too small

 

most people will not recommend that you use a DL disc for
game back ups. I do think the Xbox will play them though.

 

why wont they recommend it...are you sure it'll work cuz i dont wanna waste my money

 

since i never use DVD+R DL discs i can not be 100% sure

 

do u know if someone knows. can u look and see if it does

 

IF you booktype the +R to a -ROM you shouldn't have any problems with them, I've backed up Ninja Gadian Black to a -R DL and it plays perfectly off both my 1.1 and 1.6, PS2's also play DL backups fine if you have the right chip installed

how do you do that

 

again IF your burner supports it, just look over your burning software for where those settings are at in that particular software. i use ImgBurn and to change the booktype/bitsetting on it you open the image you're burning, then right click on the DVD drive (in the destination drop down menu) selection and a menu pops up, you then select 'change booktype'

can you buy the dvd+r dl for like 5 bucks...how much do they hold..i need liek 8 gigs or something around that

 

use the EDIT button, don't double post.......

dual layer discs hold 8.5 gig. if the map mods work off your harddrive, they'll work off the disc.
