I recently purchased 10 bootleg rock concerts on DVD. All of the shows were purchased as dubbed copies. Tonight I began backing up the concerts. To back up the concerts, I have been doing a copy/paste directly from the original and then a Nero burn. This seems to work just fine.

However, for one of the shows (an original..not a backup copy), the PC DVD player reads the disc as being blank...no files. Media Center says it does not detect a DVD. Windows Explorer says its blank. Here's the kicker...it will play perfectly on my Sony DVD player.

The notebook PC is a Gateway MX6450 purhcased in December 2005.
The PC DVD is a Phillips DVD+-SDVD8441.

I would appreciate any help regarding this problem. It's driving me crazy.

If that's the case there are really no options. Try it in someone else's reader.
