Just a little note to say this is released and working.
Just one little bug (which may or may not affect you depending on hardware) When you get to the setup xvesa/xorg screen it may be messed up.. If xvesa gives you a black screen try xorg instead. As the select buttons may be off the bottom of the window the trick is <right cursor> and <enter>.. Then set up your graphics accordingly.

Thanks to the guys on irc.freenode.org #puppylinux for the hint..

Jan just to say i tried running this live and it didnt work. I saw the xvesa bug soo i just used xorg. Using xorg i got all the way to the end to find for some reason or not it didnt work with my ps/2 mouse. Soo dont know if it was just my mouse or a glicth with ps/2 mouses?

Funny.. I reported the xorg/xvesa bug because it hit me.. otherwise it all works fine for me. Did you set up the ps2 mouse in xorg config..because it's normally the default for a ps2 mouse. I have no problems using a serial mouse on a p133 with puppy, and a ps2 on a p2.

Ye i saw it was defualt. soo went through to the test. I could see everything but couldn't move the damn mouse to hit ok!

Thing is until it didnt work i let it run by itself to automatically find my mouse which it did but it didnt process it. Weird...

Annoying really, from what i saw it looked good!

i'm just rebuilding an old Celeron 433 machine with XP (i know i know!) and Damn Small Linux 3.2RC2. However i may well be checking out this Puppy Linux to see what all the fuss is about; i have a couple ancient Pentium PC's that may be suitable..

Puppy 2.13 released.. Check my install guide here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/449707#2718873
for a walkthrough guide to HDD installing. Some of the PET packages seem to have broken dependencies, missing libraries etc. These can be discussed with the nice people on irc.freenode.net #puppylinux

2.14 released.. But it's not working, some things are broken. Beta testing needed.
