   when i convert avi to mpeg the audio goes out of sync does anybody know how i can fix this with out having to cut part of the movie ?

   I have used lots of programs of mpg encoding and i never get the mpg file with audio...how can i do it?

   Well the reason i asked was to see did u seperate the audio from the video before encoding?
