i converted 2 movies into dvd format, i got 2 folders for each, a AUDIO_TS and a VIDEO_TS, how do i burn this on a disk? there are both less than 4 gb so they will fit on a regular dvd.
Hi, I read somewhere, keeping the empty Audio_TS directory there makes it more compatible with some players who may complain it's not there. But you can't trust everything you read on the net My 2 cents...
I haven't heard that before, but I guess it's possible. Probably don't hurt anything for it to be there. I know that with CloneDVD, I have to make the source: [bold]E:/VIDEO_TS[/bold] It may automatically put the AUDIO_TS folder on there too. I've never looked.........
I've never heard that before either. But doesn't mean that it isn't true ;-) But, when I rip my dvds with AnyDVD or such, I only set the output to Video_TS... I never bother having an Audio_TS folder in the first place! ;-) To answer ProBaller's question, you can burn those files in your Video_TS folder with a program like Nero Burning ROM. If you don't have it, you can download it from AfterDawn free, for 30 days! Good luck & Happy Burning!
You know, I've been wondering about that AUDIO_TS folder...everything I've done so far, it's been empty...what's it's purpose then? And while I've got you, I read in one of the many guides here something about creating an ISO and burning it with a program called, I think, IMGBurn or something like that...what's the difference between that and Nero 7 (which I presently use) and is there any advantage? Sorry for the thread hijack ProBaller...
Oppinion varies between members, but I think that making an ISO then burning with IMGBurn is only good for Dual Layer burns, as it handles the layer break on the disk better than nero. That's the only real advantage. God knows..
@Dubu Get and use ImgBurn. As Ripper said it's excellent for DL movies and handling the layer break. I use it for ALL DLs. I also use it for the old movie single layer discs or copying my SL discs, especially when I want to copy more than one at a time. The ISO file is very handy and you can also use it to copy 2 or 3 DVDs (of the same movie) at the same time in NeroBRom, if you got the drives. It's a must have in your arsenal. how do i burn just the avi file? cause i think that would work on my dvd player, because i converted the file using winavi converter and it only works on my laptop, so how do i burn just the avi video file using nero or something else?
I used VSO ConvertXtoDVD And followed this guide But you can do it in Nero also, read this guide EDIT: I don't think I answered your question with my above reply so let me try again... It probably only worked on your laptop because it has a software dvd player and can convert different file types into viewable video... What program did you use to burn the files to dvd? Are you trying to use the dvd in a stand-alone dvd player (like, hooked up to your tv in you living room)? Does that player support divx playback? There's a bunch of reasons why it might not work.... What program did you use to burn the video_ts folder to the dvd? More info is needed to set you on the right path...
yes my dvd player supports divx playback, i just need to know how to burn the avi onto a dvd and play it.
I would imagine you'd burn it as a data file, much like you would if you were burning it to a cd...I haven't needed to do that, but that's how I'd do it...
i got it to work but i stil have a question, on my hdtv 42 inch it isnt as clear as it should be as it is on my comp, is that fixable?

I think that's out of my scope of knowledge, but here's my best guess...in a word, no...what is the resolution of the avi file? basically, it's being magnified to fit on the 42" screen...kind of like zooming in on a photo taken from a distance, it becomes fuzzy....I can't think of any way to fix it without recoding it at a higher resolution (if that's possible)...but maybe you can, I don't know...... alright did u see the picture? i think its says there.so should i change the setting to automatic or 16:9 widescreen?
it looks like it is 588x244, but I don't know how translates into tv formats...I would think you'd need it higher to be of a really decent quality...maybe post that question in the hdtv forum here...
