Ok folks, i looked through the first page only and didnt find this. How can i re-encode divx or xvid movies. What programs do in need to do this? Im not talkling about mpeg 2 re-encoding, mpeg4 is what im after since it wont play on any of the players i have. Thanks Chris
Um...its in relation to the PM i sent you. How can i get that movie to play as a DivX or Xvid in a player on my computer?
It aint working. I have latest codecs. When i open WinDVD it shows a Media player symbol and when i open media player it doesnt support it it says.
Well then get gspot and check the file to see if you need any other codec to play it, and while you are at it go to the software section and get the MPEG-4 3.11 Alpha Release Codec! and dont forget to go to the start menu, find it and click run me first!
wwooo im confused ere u wanna make these files play on ur comp?? from ur HDD or CD??? i mean to re-encode xvid/divx files to mpeg-4 from mpeg-2 would make it more unlikely it would work as mpeg-2 is the most commonly supported video compression
