ram questions

    i have 2x 256mb ram cards in my computer.

    now is taking out one 256 card and replacing it with a 512mb card advisable? becasue i heard that it should be of the same brand/batch number and then still the computer may only use the ram of one card.

    any help?

    depends on the age of the computer & type of ram. if using ddr ram than usually is okay

    its a MESH computer about 3 years old.

    and yeah im using DDR ram
