Hi all. I got hold of a xbit chip for my Box and i tried to follow some of the guides/explanations on this site but without success. I just need someone to help me use the gear i have as i am a bit lost here. I have lots of stuff including quite a few different BIOS files, dashboards etc, but i need to be shown the right way. So, this is what i got for this part of the job: Xbit chip v1.5 XBIT15winxp flash software x2_4983.06_256k.bin bios I know this is pretty much what i need at this point: flash the chip. I linked the chip up as explained, with the yellow and black connectors connected in the Y and B plugs respectively. The green LED turns on and the PC recognized the chip as compatible. That makes me believe that there's no problems with the installation. The dip swiches are OFF/OFF/ON/ON. The idea is to put the BIOS into bank 5. I open up the flash software and at this point when i try to connect to the chip, i get no response. Any help towards this will be much apreciated.
It's a bit sad that AD seems to have changed so much. Back in the day it was a lot easier to get 'proper' help.
Ok, sorry if i got it in the wrong place, i'm sure Neph or Creaky will move it as soon as appropriate. (In my sig there's a link that will tell you just that.) But my question is about software, as the intaller software isn't connecting to the chip so i can install the bios. And after that i might need a hand to install the dashboards and stuf. I know there are guides around but i'm a noob in this 'consoles' thing and i would like some personal help, the sort of help that so many people had through yours trully...
