    Define "install broadband" for us.

What were you installing: Modem Drivers (if you have a USB Connecting Modem), Network Drivers (if you have a Network Connecting Modem) or the pants software that the ISP gives you.

Did you get your problem sorted yet Pontius ?

I had a similar problem about a year and a half ago with the Eircom broadband.

If I remember correctly, when you put in the software cd, you get two options, something like "Wireless" or "Ethernet", something like that anyway.

So as Eircom say this is wireless broadband and if I remember correctly they supply you with a netopia modem.

So as you would, I selected "wireless" when installing and and the software would install some way and just stay on 50% until I knocked it off.

This had me puzzeled so I rang Eircom and they said I must have a wireless card in my pc which I didn't when installing as I planned on getting one the next day. This is supposedly the reason why the software wouldn't load.

I selected the other option and the software loaded and I just used a long ethernet connection and it worked fine.

Eircom are thiefs with the price of their broadband. I got away and am with magnet now and am very happy :)

Don't know if this will help, but hopefully
