I wish to buy a new home computer. I have not bought one in a while so I'm wondering if I could get a few recommendations. I simply want this new computer to use the internet and to play learning cd-roms. Aound how much Memory, Hard drive space, and which processor speed would be ideal for me? I am considering an emachines AMD Athlon 64 processor 3700 with 1024 DDR MB memory and 250 GB harddrive. I also saw a AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500, but this one has the Hp mark on it. I do not understand how that works. Is it HP or what?

I currently have an hp pavillion a210n which I find to be a little slow.

The Athlon 64 3700 should be enough for what you want it for aswell as the Hd and Memory. If you buy a computer thats has a AM2 socket processor it should be more upgradeable in the future.

Not got a clue on the HP thing.
