need a restore CD

    like i need a restore cd for HP its my friends comp and its old an like he has no restore cd for it so i was thinkin like can sum 1 upload the files sum where from the cd so i can dl it and burn the files to my cd cuase its havin probs booting up it says Windows\System32\Config\System is missin or corrupted i most likly think it corrupted so can sum 1 plz help me out

    moved to correct forum. what is the make & model number of that hp computer so can possibly find link for you?

    HP's have a built in feature which lets u make ur own back up cd's. You might want to look for that, it might be too old though. As ddp said, amke and model #.

    i get the make an model tonight mesa goin over to my friends house no i cant make a restore cd from pc cuzz like i said cant acess it so no to that but i get the info and hopefuly ill be able to get on this pc tomarrow if my bros not in his room

    o another thing how many post do i need till i can get this newbie edited by ddp off

    odds are, unless you have some crazy good luck, you won't be able to find a restore disc. you should be able to recover your windows key, though, and use this with an appropriate regular version of windows. it's typically better than that proprietary crud, anyway.

    you'll need 25 posts outside of the safety valve and all other topics. try to watch the language, though. and be sure to read and understand the forum rules.
