Why Should i have encoders/decoders

    hi

    i am noob in here so i have divx encoders/decoders. and now i think what should i do with them. can i edit divx movie with them if yes then how. and if you do reply to it then please could you also answer this simple question

    encoders and decoders are commonly known as CODECs these are used to decode the file u may of downloaded so it opens and plays on your comp

    you cannot use codecs to edit divx files
    however there are other programs out there such as
    TMPGEnc that allow you to edit the files
