I got a older computer a dell 4300 for christmas today. Im looking to get a new video card the HIS high tech x1650 512mb card. The dell has 512mb ram a 1.4 ghz processor and a 250 watt power supply. It is a AGP slot 4x. Do you think I can run this card on this computer?

Yes the card does 4x and 8x agp. It requires 420watts I beleive to. I will get a new power supply if I need. For a power supply does it matter which one as long as its 420watts or +? Do I need a certain power supply for dell 4300 or will any power supply fit in?

take the physical dimensions of the current dell psu when getting new psu so that they'll match in size.

So as long as their the same size it will work.
