I just got a new sansa e250 with 2 gb. i wanted to put my new movie pirates of the caribean 2 on there. right now i have it as a VOB file on my hard drive, but i want to try and compress it (i don't care how bad the qualty is) so that it will fit on my sansa.

the sansa is really ticking me off! i opened it at 8 am this morning, and have sat at my desk all day (until 11:21 pm) and so far have a movie on my hard drive and 3 songs on my sansa.

    please help!

You must put your Sansa into MTP mode.

Settings -> USB Mode -> MTP

And you must use the Sansa Media Converter tool that comes with your player. (It's on the CD)

But BEFORE you do ANY of this, you should update the firmware on your Sansa.

AND update the Sansa Media Converter tool. On the toolbar, on the top-right, click the little question mark. Then click "Check for Updates".
