    Yes you can use the mini-dvd with a softmod,and you can also do the same with a modchip.I use Ritek G04 mini-dvd discs and they work like a charm.If you do plan on buying any and testing it out,the discs I mentioned would be worth trying.You can also use full size dvd media with a full size case replacement,but I think the mini-dvd have more success.
