I was wondering if there was a free software that would allow me to record streaming XM radio on my computer and then convert the file so that it could be put on my iPod. Thanks :).

There are many programs that will do what you want. The best way to go is to use a program that records the stream in the downloaded format, not just the audio from the sound card.I use this download mgr. because with it you can listen to what's being downloaded.

With this system you will need to find the URL of the stream in order to download it.I mostly download mp3 streams ,so I use this mp3 editor to chop-up the large stream as needed.

All these programs are free. Good luck.
