    hey i just bought a new pc its got a 2.13ghz cpu and my friend has a single core 3ghz cpu can someone tell me whos is faster please

    is it an intel core 2 duo? if it is a core 2 duo then ure pc beats his pc by ALOT not just lil bit I mean alot, encoding a movie on his pc probably takes 1 hour or more and on ure pc less than 20min

    Hi Guys. I just bought an Intel dual core 1.86Ghts and I asked the guy in the shop: is it 2 times 1.86? He said it was, but he was trying to sell it. He also said dual core was mainly for multi-tasking, but the speed backing up is amazing...as said 1hour down to 20mins.

    The "new" Core2Duo from Intel are a big jump in processing power.
    You can compare them between his processor family... if you compare them with other kind of processors like single core, Its mostly for sure that the dual core will kick ass hard :).
    If you don't trust me search for reviews and benchmarks :D
