sansa e250 froze up

    My e250 froze up and i can't even turn the sucker off. Do i have to wait till the battery dies or can i some how reboot this thing?

    Hold the power button down for 20 seconds and it should turn off after that. I had that same problem a couple of days ago.

    just wondering, when it froze were straight lines displayed across thet screen? thanks

    Yeah, I had that problem once and the cause could be your song tags:
    The freezing could be caused by your songs being improperly tagged because sansa doesn't work well with ID3v1 tags, only ID3v2 tags.

    So download Mp3tag at http://www.mp3tag.de/en/ , change the file directory to point to where your songs are either on your player connected in MSC mode, delete all your ID3v1 tags and make sure they only have ID3v2 tags. Safely disconnect your sansa by left single clicking on the drive icon in your system tray, click "Safely Disconnect Drives whatever, whatever". Your player should say "Disconnected" and now you can take out the USB cable. Doing it this way will prevent your songs from becoming corrupted. Now your player will restart and it will say " Refresh Database" and when it's done you can use your player.

    Hope this solves your problem.
