Hi there...happyy holidays all! I toasted my motherboard in my computer and i want to transfer the files(all the stuff i follishly didnt save to disk) from that hard drive and put them on my new comp. Can this be done, if so , how....Thank you all!!!
Hmmm, I have a couple of suggestion, but don't know if they'll help. But here goes. Can't you just attach the old HDD to the new computer? If not you could replace the motherboard you fried (if it didn't take anything else with it) & then you'd have 2 computers. Then you could get either an external HDD & transfer everything from the old HDD to the external & then onto the new PC. Or you could use the built in Files & settings transfer wizard to swap the files between the 2 pc's. Without replacing the mobo or getting the old pc to work, i don't think it could be done any other way than attaching the old HDD to the new PC. This may not help, but i had to get my 2 cent's.
Thanks...we got it figured out for now...i think (lol) Thank you for your help! All the best for the New Year!!
