i went threw the ripping process and im 95% sure i did it right. i can watch on players i have on desk top but im having the heck of a time getting my stand alone dvd player to read the vcd can any one help please im tired of wasting cdr's.

Get the Nero, select VCD.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">VideoCD as a disc format, make sure video file validation is on, drag'n'drop your files into the CD and before beginning to burn, make sure that "finalize" option is selected from burning tab and that the speed of the burning is 4x or less. And use only CD-Rs, not CD-RWs. This should help.

im still having problems i used a sony extreme burner program and a nero program i really dont understand what u mean by finalize but i did check to make sure it was on vcd and when i burn the same out come unreadable disc the step by step i followed step by step im totally lost??????

hi thanx for your help but i think im almost there the problem im running into now is in nero its saying that the format is in supervd form i must be making the erroe in the coverting process? is that true, one more question is when you have a mpeg file nero will or will not convert this file to a vcd? will it convert files into bat if not what do i do thanx for your help and continue help is greatly appreciated

You made an error in TMPGEnc encoding part -- instead of selecting VCD.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">VideoCD (format) template, you've chosen SuperVideoCD template. You need to encode the video again -- sure, you can also use Nero to re-encode the existing SVCD file, but quality will be horrible.

I BURN THE MOVIE BUT THE PROBLEM IM HAVING IS THAT THE CD WILL NOT READ ON DVD BUT IN MY LAP TOP IT READ AND PLAY. I HAVE A VCD FROM A FREIND AND IT PLAYED SO I KNOW THAT THE DVD(RCA) CAN READ IT ONLY THING I COULD COME UP WITH IS 1 THE DISC IS NOT IN THE RIGHT FORMAT <I DID TRY IT ON ANOTHER DVD STILL NO RESULTS> OR IT COULD BE THE CDR<PNY>...???? ONCE AGAIN I NEED YOUR HELP.
