    Still did not help me make a backup of Pirates of the Carribean, however. Still gets to 15% and craps out.

    Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? I got PotC to copy no problem with the version I had when it came out. It's either that or something else. Duh. ;)

    diverj, what are you transcoding with?

    try using clonedvd 2 or use the anydvd ripper ripping the file to your HD then transcoding with clonedvd 2 or dvd shrink , i did the movie fine

    also make sure you have the latest firmware on your drive/burner check here
