LG DVD5253

I've had this DVD player for awhile now with the VCD and SVCD hacks working fine. Becuase i am in the UK it plays region 2 dvds, i installed the hack for region 1 and the region 1 dvd worked, now when i go to play any DVD's(any region), VCD's, SVCD's they play in green. Can anyone please help. Ive tried putting my dvd player back to region 2 but it didnt help.

 

Thats a codec problme, not the LG. Install the correct codecs for the movies you wish to play.

 

its the same movies i have watched before on the DVD player so how can it be a codec problem, and how do you insatll codecs on DVD players?

 

Sorry, is this a standalone player as oppose to a DVD ROM/Writer?

 

yes its a standalone dvd player, its a LG DVD 5253, was just hoping someone had the same problem and fixed it so they could tell me

 

I would have guessed internal drive as well.
