I'm getting an xbox360 soon and want to get a nice display to go with it. What I'd really like to do is find a monitor/TV that I can hook my PC and consoles up to for a gaming center. I don't need anything huge. Would an HDTV or LCD PC Monitor be better? LCD monitors are much cheaper and people say they work well, but I've never seen one used before. Anyone have any experience with this?
I own 32inch LG lcd HDTV monitor. You can hook up your pc by DVI and xbox 360 with compoments or get VGA cable for xbox for 1080i.I love this as my computer screen. especailly when i play games on pc. It's 32inch but it looks like 40inch. It only cost me about $950 last year. Even the xbox 1 looks nicer.
How can you tell what PC LCD monitors support as far as 720p, 1080p, ect.. Is it just by the largest resolution the monitor supports? Basically I was looking at this monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16824112006
Yeah that's what I was asking lol. If LCD computer monitors look halfway decent compared to HDTV's. I know alot of people use them for console gaming so I just wanted to get some opinions.
WHy not save moeny and get HDTV/monitor? The one that i got is the same quilty as regular LCD monitor.
PC monitors are cheap. Plus I'm not gonna be watching TV on it. Just PC and consoles. Isn't an HDTV monitor just a PC monitor with a TV Tuner built in? Since I'm using VGA I wouldn't really need the TV tuner. I'm probably only gonna get 720p out of it, but that's still nice quality. Much better then my normal tv.
See the last number on maximum resolution in specification product..my Samsung LCD on Xbox 360 only support 13..x720 and 1280x720. And when I use my VGA box..my LCD only support 720p
