   I have a pioneer DVDRW A05 and i need it to go to 1x for backing up. Why doesn't it go 1x speed? the lowest it does is 4x? why is that?...
   
   any help would be great

   Blame it on Pioneer m8. Some "roms" have the option to burn as low as 1x, others at 8x (Polaroid Burn MAX48).
