Hi just got the new starview box and it was working fine last night but now every channel is saying "Data is being updated" and just keeps doing that. any1 help?

i also have this problem! put 2004 in and turned emu back on but still no joy! have channel 1,2,3,4,5 and some MTV channels but thats it! was working fine till i came home from work today

I am having this problem too, I have contacted my seller and he has given me an updated image file and some instructions which you are welcome too, I have nt had a chance to try it yet but I will do tonight. Anyway if you want them email me and ill send you them.

all i did was restored it to factory settings and reinstalled it again then added this file on top of it STAR VIEW_26012007_257eE_api. i can email use it if use want it.

awrite folks here's all i did.
1- Reset the starview box back to factory settings
2- Use ur pc and cable and install the BIN file u got with ur box (shud be H20060918_258eE_api if uve not got it ill send u it)
3- then install the BIN file 26012007_257eE_api (i can send tht aswell) once complete >
4- plug the box back in and select automatic channel search once finished turn the box off and back on.
5- as soon as u turn the box back on go to menu then parental lock press info and enter 2004 to get to the secret menu and turn EMU on
6- go to a scrambled channel and let it update.
Thats it.

HI RC COSSIE our starview has suddenenly taken some channels away could you please help me and tell me what i have to do as i only know how to flash dboxes we didnt have any cd with the starview box please tell me what i will need and if you could send me the revelant files ,most appreciated
