how do i install suse linux 10.2?

i've just downloaded it and burn it onto a iso dvd disk but i do not know how to install it. can somebody direct me to a guide of help me?

 

Set your bios to boot from cd and follow the installer. easy.

 

how do i set my bios? is it the screen when i first boot my laptop?

And to answer your question usually when you boot up it will give you 2 options. one being boot order and the other being setup. It will be f8 or something. Just click that button and go down to your.cd drive and voilla!

 

I think linux suse has auto boot. So you probably wont even have to go into bios options, most computers will just read the disc right away.

 

yes open suse 10.2 has auto booting

yet he must set the bios so it can reads it otherwise he'll never install any thing

so either you press F8 to choose which device to boot from

or

1- press del when pc starts
2- go to advanced bios setting
3- change the option of first boot device into your dvd
4- save your new setting and restart

then you can put the dvd in the rom and go for it
