Just tried at 4x with success, but a fail at higher speed. Is there any way to stabilize the drive so as to burn at higher speed?
Heres a couple of things I can see. Your Nero is an older version, update from here, both packages. Package 1: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Firmware is also way behind, heres the latest 1.58 from here http://wwwbsc.pioneer.co.jp/product-e/ibs/device_e/file/DVR109_FW158EU.EXE These are horrible discs and will fail at whatever speed you select, try Verbatim or Sony (made in japan) I do NOT advise burning at 16X..no matter how good your discs are.
