I HAVE (JUST GOT) ubuntu...im trying to get to know the linux world i aint got a clue....can someone tell me how to use it and what is a really good linux os and is it free.....as far as i know all linux is free....is that true? i need something that works great with media (music,DVDS) any help would be great thank you

Try a something called Automatix it is great for beginners http://www.getautomatix.com/ With a little work you can set all this up on your own by searching the Ubuntu forums.
