Firstly, I'm a newb so don't kill me.

My problem/question is that I can't find the proper software/codec/device driver/whatever else I need to capture my Gamecube.

I have the hardware. S-vid in and R & L ins. I have Arcosft Showbiz and Windows Movie Maker (both enable capturing).

But when I plug in my 'cube and hit "capture" on either piece of software it says something about my device driver.

Can someone explain this process to me and help me through it? What I want to do is to record the audio and video signal from my 'cube by tomorrow so I will be able to record my virgin run of F-Zero...that and to finally make some game movies/videos like Red vs. Blue

    Thank you (in advance)

    1. What video card do you have? If you are using an nVidia card with video in make sure you install the WDM Capture drivers. As for ATi, blah.

    2. Assuming you have all the drivers and crap installed correctly, just plug your video and sound into the appropriate slots and record away! You may want to consider VDub's Video Capture mode... very simple to use and setup. Although you may have to contend with a slightly watered picture hehe but that can be fixed (i hope hehe)
