I have posted b4 but I'm hoping there's a new genius about. I cannot close a session or finalize a cd-r with my pioneer 105 with a plethora of software, ie nero or roxio to mention two. I have 2 hd/s and reformatted and installed xp pro on my d drive and installed JUST easy cd on it (there is bugger all else on the drive regarding software and it still wont close, if I say pretty please can anyone help me.

Using latest firmware? Does Nero& Roxio "officially" support your drive?
Try burnatonce and see if you encounter the same errors. I read somwhere Nero recently updated 5.5x( 5.5.10.50) and latest Nero 6x version is 6.0.0.11 I do believe. I despise [bold] Roxio products [/bold], not to mention countless other forum members...

    Nero Burning Rom 5.5.10.50

    There's recent updates for Roxio's Easy CD Cre(a)mater for 5& 6x versions...

Thanks Shoey, I have all latest firmware and updates installed and have already tried burnquick as well as roxio and nero, even reformatted d drive and put xp pro on it with easy cd on its own, still will not close. think the nexy step may be to take burner and put it in a friends machine but I'm adamant its a windows problem, still trying, sigh

This beginning to drop outside of the realm of my expertise however might I suggest you try CDRWIN5? Perhaps also it might be something about the media you are using?
