PS2 Web browser finished

#1 26 Aug 2003 @ 7:16
I dont know if anyone remembers back a while when I said I was developing a PS2 web browser system?

No, I thought not...

Anyway its finally finished and ready to take your requests!

Its features:

*Sign-up
*Log-in
*Save any URL
*Unlimited space for saving URLs
*Easy and fast saved URL selection
*Manual URL entry

Basically I designed this for myself so that I could browse web pages on my TV. I found it took AGES to keep typing in the same old URLs over and over again with the PS2 controller. So with this system you only need to log-in after signing-up (sign-up takes about 20 seconds and obviously only needs to be done once EVER) and then you have your own PERSONAL list of URLs that you have previously saved or can start saving to.

I dont charge anything for this service since I use it all the time myself anyway cos its so cool! hehe

Instructions on how to actually view it on your PS2 are on the actual web browser site which can obviously also be used on a PC from this address:

http://ps2browser.webhop.net

...but all you need to do is insert your Network Setup CD in your PS2 and then go to:

advanced options> configure external> then enter this IP: 213.105.221.130

Its been designed to fit on a PAL TV screen so it looks a little funny on a PC monitor but it still functions perfectly on either PS2 or PC system. When using it on your PS2 you MUST setup your screen size correctly!

Anyway just give it a try and mail me any suggestions etc...

Cheers!
Seb

(only works on UK PAL PS2s by the way, sorry!)
