When I turned on my computer today, everything was fine for about 5 minutes and then my Benq LCD monitor just went black (not completely black, but very very dark and you can hardly see anything). I connected my computer to another monitor and nothing was wrong. I bought the monitor a year ago, but aren't LCDs suppose to work for a lot longer? Can somebody explain this? And also, if I am forced to buy another monitor, which brand should I get (there is a 19" NEC MultiSync 1940WCXM on sale, not sure if that's a good one)?
Sounds like your backlight has given up on you. If it's still under warranty, send it in. Otherwise, I would look at Viewsonic.
