Lost serial number

    yes i have just recently bought a new computer and i am trying to install nero but i have lost my serial code. I have no proof that i bought it so am i pretty much screwed? thanks

    Unless you can contact Nero, they may issue a new one, but you will need proof of purchase.

    Do you still have access to the old pc?

    If you do and Nero is still installed you can open smartstart and click on the icon w/ a flame in it. Product Center. The serial tab will have the #.

    Or you can get it from regedit. Which version did you have - Nero 6 or 7? In a different place in regedit in 7 than 6 & earlier versions.

    Or you can always email Nero with as much info as possible - like email address used, name etc and see if they will give it to you.
