DVD Shrink v3.0 beta change

When using DVD Shrink, I can never get the re-author option to work, whenever I use it I get a blank page just like when I first loaded the program. I use DVD Shrink v3.0 beta, i have noticed that all the guides here and on other sites use v2.3. Is there something that needs to be done differently on the new version? I basically just want to put a movie w/o special features onto a disc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
