i have the pioneer dvd burner dvr-a03, when I put in any type of disc, it starts to read it and then makes the computer all slow, if you click the drive it freezes up with the hourglass till you eject the disc.
why is this happening?

Have you just installed the Pioneer a03/103 or has this just happened out of the blue ?
Have you updated the firmware recently perhaps ??

Hmm what os do you have? Did you uninstall a program like Clone CD ? I tried that one once and after I uninstalled it my dvdand cdrw were gone .. Something got hosed in the registry.
