subtitle timing

Well i've been struggling for about a week, but I finally got the subtitle and the movie on to a dvd. I used covertxtodvd. But now the timing is off. If anybody can help that would be great.

 

You can adjust the timing with Subtitle Workshop (freeware).

can you adjust all of the subtitles at once or do you have to do one by one with this program?

 

With Subtitle Workshop you can adjust all of the subtitles at once or just selected lines.

 

hi, i'm new at this kind of stuff, can you use that program to make your own subtitles?? i want to make my own videos, but i don't know how to just add subtitles that i make to the parts i want, i don't even know how to make subtitles x_x
