Hey everyone. I've read the other threads and tried some of the things on them, but they haven't helped. =( I'm using an OEM FujitsuSiemens NEC-burner. I've tried updating the firmware which seems to be up to date, but I still get the error. The discs I'm using are regular DVD-r discs from Maxell. That is not the latest firmware for your drive you need this one 2.F9 Not very good media to begin with either.
ok, tried downloading the other firmware. I get a prompt saying: "Target NEC ND-2510A is not found correctly." =S I also tried restarting Windows in safe-mode, but with no luck. Could it be that I need to do some kinda pre-installation of some older driver perhaps?

I re-installed with the other version, but still no luck. I ended up buying new media. FujiFilm this time, and it works perfectly. Kinda remarkable that such a well-known brand as Maxell can't make proper DVD-R's... Thanks for all the help though.
