Hi, Emphatic's the name and frameserving is my game! At least it was... :/ Here's my beef: I wanted to frameserve a resized (filter) AC3/XVID file with added subs (filter) from VirtualDub 1540 (Pentium IV Optimized) to TMPGEnc Plus 2.510.49.157. So I did and it worked like it always does. Then I noticed that the subtitle file was a bit behind in sync, resynced it and intended to reencode it with the new sub. But now all of a sudden TMPGEnc won't open my .vdr file. So I tried renaming it to .avi, still no luck, tried raising the different VFAPI's like everyone suggests. Still no dice. I tried to frameserve through VFAPICONV but that app won't open my vdrs either so my conclusion is that VirtualDub is to blame. Oh, when I frameserve, I always choose NO AUDIO in VirtualDub since that is easier so it's not the audio messing around. If you've had this problem and gotten past it without reinstalling windows (XP Professional in my case) PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING SACRED HELP ME!!!!! Emph
I don't know if this will help, however: this article http://www.afterdawn.com/articles/divx_with_subtitles_to_vcd.cfm says to ignore the .vdr extension for the file you are saving and to use the .avi extension (for example) instead. Goodbye
Well, if you would have actually READ my ENTIRE post you would know that I've already tried that with no positive result. Thanks anyway Emph
