I have read no less than ten threads about people getting this error, and none of them seem to apply to my particular one. I think my problem has to do with something Daemon Tools did to my drive names because I have only been getting this error after I installed that program. Note that no burning program I have works now. I have tried dvdshrink, convertxtodvd, nero, and poweriso. I thought I would ask for help here because I have saved a Nero log of the error. Also, I seem to have an additional non-existent optical drive listed. I know that is is permanently enabled for some reason because I have uninstalled Daemon tools. I know that this is a software problem and my media is good. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated, as I have many pleasing pictures of various candy bars that I will provide in compensation. Thanks, Jeffrey
I do not believe it is a problem with my firmware because this same media spindel burnt fine before the daemon tools installation.
its been so long, bump this because I want me dvd burner back! *cries* I'm about ready to reformat that thing and shun daemon tools.
Try updating your Nero from here, both packages Package 1: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe There hasnt been a firmware update for some time, could be your burner DOESNT like these Sony's.
No, it burned them before. None of my other programs burn either. The source of the problem is something that Daemon tools did to my drive letters I think. I have heard about this problem, but I am unsure as to how to fix it. I am a hardware guy.
How about trying a system restore? or use a registry cleaner? Or try what gwendolin said, it cant hurt to try. have u tried IMGburn?
SYSTEM restore! I forgot all about that. Jeeze, and I work in a computer repair lab. I guess this is why I'm the hardware guy =/
