Subtitle cut off

Hi i am using the latest version of nero vision to burn some avi files. My problem is when i go to watch them for some reason the subtitles are getting cut off at the bottom. It is almost as the picture is being zoomed in on because there i can tell parts of the image are being cut off. Is there any way to fix that or is it just the way nero is. I have tried to view it on a regular tv along with a hd big screen with the same results.
