I have recently aquired a Pioneer A05 DVD burner.
When trying to backup my copy of the above movies. I found they are both greater than 6 gigs. I have tried to shrink them using DVD shrink, but get an unknown error message about 46 minutes into each movie. I also tried using TMPGenc dvd author. This imports the file ok (which it says is 6+ gig), but only has video up to the 54 minute mark, although according to the video properties, the clip is well over an hout long. The same file plays the entire movie when played in win dvd.
I have searched the forum and tried several of the guides, but to no avail. Any advice would be appreciated

    What about using other software?

    I personaly use:
    DVD Decrypter
    DVD2one
    Then burn with Record Now.

Sound like you are trying to copy the whole DVD! Just copy the movie using dvd decrypter and that file size should come right down to about +/-4Gb.

You could then use DVDshrink to compress the files abit so they fit onto DVD-R. If you don't want to get complicated, use AnyDVD and CloneDVD to get the results :) Good Luck
