Sending ringtones nokia 6680?

Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Hi all, I just got a new nokia 6680 today and I put some of my songs on the phone through the nokia suite and then used 1 of the songs for my ringtone which is great.

So I decided to send my wife a ringtone so I used "Absolute mp3 splitter and Converter" to cut a song down to 40 seconds and put to on my phone.

So I thought great, just send it.

So I clicked on the tone and used "send via multimedia"

But I keep getting the error msg "format is unsupported"??

I tried converting into different formats such as .ogg,mp3, wma, wav but I just can't seen to send the tone???

Has me baffled......any help on this please??

have you tried doing it as amr i had that problem but i converted it to a amr file and it worked
