Hello, Hopefully someone can help me. I have the Insignia 4Gig. MP3 Player. I'm using Windows Media Player 11 (WMP from this point on). Using Windows XP SP2 (with all current updates). The problem I'm having is I will create a playlist with the songs I want. Sync it to the player. This works fine. WMP will show in the sync window that my playlist and songs were added, and the playlist works when I try it on the player. But when I try and delete the playlist in WMP, the playlist is deleted from my player, but the songs are not deleted. WMP says in the sync screen that the songs are "Already on device". I have the box checked under the device that says "When deleting playlists from devices, also remove their contents." But I have noticed that when I delete the playlist and it asks me if I want to delete the library and on computer, that the files are still on my computer. I guess I figured it would delete it on the computer too. All I want to do is be able to delete the playlist and the songs delete off my player too (I'd still like them left on the computer though). Any solution to my problem? Is there a problem with WMP 11? Am I doing something wrong? Shawn
Well I figured it out (I believe). I had turned off the automatic sync to the Windows Media Player. When I turned it back on it started deleting the file properly. I didn't realize that manual also meant that you had to delete all files manually. Well hopefully this will help someone else that runs into this.
