I have got a problem. Well my laptop is not working properly. So after some heavy work say 2 mins on full processing usage it shuts down. So I encode every chapter seperately. Now I have got 20 files and I want to merge them together. How do I do it. I used two programs.

    1.Easy Video Joiner
    2 AVI MPG RM Joiner

But the final joined file has got a problem. The sound goes out of sync. It plays about 2-3 secs before the video. The original files are OK. I use Dr. DivX and DivX 5.10. Urgent help needed. Somebody suggest something or some software that worked. Give me the link. Thanks

Make sure too that the activie cooling (i.e., usually a pair of fans) somewhere in the chasis are working

Also, consider using VDub or VDubMod to do your joining?

Yeah Praetor is right, use VirtualDub.
You can download it and read also the guide of how to join two AVI files at my site at the link I have at my signature at the end of the thread.
Programs like you ones you used usually create audio sync problems._X_X_X_X_X_[small]Detailed DVD-Rip Guides at

You can also look for a program called AVI Split Calc 3.47 which is really just an excellent front-end for NANDUB
