unformat HDD

    hi guys, i recently was forced to format my hard drive due to a crash and since then i've installed XP again, just so i could still us it. i was wondering if it is at all possible to some way get all my file back from before the crash?

    you may be able to get some of it back, when i accidentally got rid of my partition on my external and it wouldnt read, i used recover my files, it also has a format recover, so maybe that will work

    so the name of the program is "Recover my FIles"? if i can find it i will give it a try. thanks

    Jnugg, do you have a spare hd that you can use to load xp on & recover the info off the crashed hd?

    no i dont. but i did install RecoverMyFiles on my 4gb thumb drive and im running it off of that to search for the files.

    THAT PROGRAM IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!! It totally worked YAY! i goot all my music AND all my pictures back! oh what a relief. thank you everybody for your help
