I have two cameras - one digital (Olympus) and one "old school" (Canon) The images from my digital as you can expect go straight onto my computer but with the Canon it's not that simple - they need to be scannde! (ta-da!) Having recently built a new PC I stupidly overlooked one small feature which is missing from my new motherboard - a parallel port. This has rendered my very nice scanner useless as I can no longer plug it in. Just wondering what makes of scanner people are leaning towards when scanning their photographs from "old school" type cameras? So far I've been looking at Canon, Mustek, Epson and HP and must admit so far the HP is winning.
Thanks onya, I went to my local PC shop and they said it wasn't possible to get one of those adapters! grrrrrr I'll be using a different computer shop from now on!
