Help| Connecting Laptop to Philips Plasma

    Hi,
    I have a philips plasma and i want to connect my laptop so I can watch movies..
    The problem is, when I'm connecting the S-Video to the plasma from the laptop and turn it on, I can c the booting process but when it comes to windows main screen, the plasma turn blank black screen..
    where am I goin'g wrong?

    Is your plasma HD? Dont use S-video if it is, you should connect via VGA or DVI if it supports it.

    S-Video will only give you a crappy standard def resolution

    thanks but i've mixed up, i'm using VGA to get it connected to my laptop.. and as i said, i can see a screen, but when i'm comming to the windows main menu, i can't...

    is it something with the resolution of the laptop?

    or maybe is it something ealse?

    You prob need to crank the display resolution on the laptop up to one the HDTV can handle.
