Xvid, dvix on ps2

I want to play xvid and dvix on my ps2 without buying anything. I was considering buying the gameshark media player, but I wanted to get something for the swap method and that would require nearly 100 dollars for both things. I wanted to get jade psx, but unfortunately I can't find any links for that. Can somebody tell me how to burn xvid or dvix videos to play on the playstion 2?

but sony have designed their ps2 so carefully only selected DVD works (basically the ones from shops)
even vcd or svcd dont work
so u dont stand a chance with xvid or divx
however, there is a dvd player that is out
that can play divx xvid

how about if i convert xvid to dvd, on a dvd-r will it work then?

 

it may work however i havent tried it on the ps2
all i know is that a normal dvd player will play your film if converted from divx to dvd
but the ps2 has had issues with not recognising the written dvd discs
however try it and tell us wat happens

u need a swap magic and a media player cd

 

i use ps2reality, works great. but you need a way to boot it up. i have magic V installed so i have no troubles using it.
