network query

    im wanting to network my pc and my ps3 i have a cable modem with one ethernet port.both the pc and ps3 are using ethernet cables but im confused ive been told to use a router but not sure which would be the best.also ive been told to use an ethernet hub.can anybody help as im a noob when it comes to network jargon thanks

    get a router preferribly a linksys router & not wireless at that.

    speed doesn't matter as that is determined by your internet provider.
