moh6299,

Did you put the PS1 disk system.cnf file to make the image or the one that came with the cogswap.zip folder ?

I installed a bunch of games on my hard drive with HD Loader but my HD Loader disc got damaged and won't work now. Does anyone know if I use HD Advance if it will let me play the games I already have installed (with HD Loader) or will I have to reinstall all my games?

damn right the discs get damaged real easy hacker. Especially if you have the flip-top mod and get impatient and flip it open to early while its still spinning. My HD DVD loader is well scuffed up, but luckily fingers crossed it continues to work. **Just** phew :0)

Good pointer for all with the flip top, just make sure it's still not spinning when swapping discs. My Swap Magic discs have had to be replaced twice so far. so impatient! doh!

I have no problems with my HD Loader from being scratch. I have my disc for about a year and little to no scratch on it.

How I mantain my disc in top is I let it load to my main menu screen where you select the game you want to play. That's when the disc stop spinning. I would press "eject button", eventhough I have the flip-top.

I just got the loader and the maxtor 120gb hdd. it's cool but when i play Mercenaries every once and a while it an error message will display saying that the controller is disconnected. i just push start and it's okay. another thing is that i only have 3 games on there mercenaries, gt4, and shadow of rome, but it won't let me load any more. it says that it's full. i can't get the hd loader to re-format the hdd again. can anyone help?

Yeah thats the best way to do it. But if you have to change the disc to save a backed-up game to the hard drive you need to use the flip-top. this is where the damage can take place, cause if you open too early the disc starts spinning out of control, and you end up with scuffs and scratches all over the disc. like me! doh! :0)

Hi JLevins

I haven't had 1st hand experience with GT4, but reading some of the other threads, Gran Turismo 4 is unplayable on the Hard Drive cause its a DVD9 meaning its twice the size of the normal DVD5 games. I don't think HDLoader works with these games.

So HDLoader could be confused as to how much space is left on the Hard Drive. I'd get to the menu and delete it if I was you. That might solve it. If not, you could connect the hard drive to a pc and format it that way?

Anyone else had any experience with GT4 on HdLoader?

HD Advance more than likely will play HD Loader games. It's pretty much the same package as HD Loader, but it's updated to work with HDs over 200gb. I know ... I have a 300gb and it works perfect.

Big Will - 39001 PS2 (NTSC), HD Advance 2.0, Seagate Barracuda 300GB and v.2 Xbox 360 ... sweet, baby!

You should be able to. Hdadvance is the same thing as HDloader, at the core. Go to Exploitstation and get the fully patched, custom HDloader.elf. It will do all the same things as HdAdvance + play God of War and a few others that retail HDL\HDA won't.

Josh: There's probably not a lot of reflective surfaces in the sewer.
[He chuckles and the Penguin joins in]
The Penguin: Still... it could be worse. My nose could be gushing blood.
[They both laugh again]
Josh: Your nose could be gushing... what do you mean...
[the Penguin bites Josh's nose]
